Raquel Breitenbach is an accomplished educator, extensionist, and researcher at the Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Rio Grande do Sul – Campus Sertão. With a solid academic background, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Rural Development and Agribusiness Management, a Teaching degree in the same field, a Master’s degree, and a Ph.D., all obtained from the Federal University of Santa Maria.

Raquel Breitenbach’s research primarily focuses on the dynamics of generational succession in agriculture, especially among young rural women studying agrarian sciences. Her work delves into gender differences and emotional aspects influencing family farm business succession in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. She explores the intersection of innovation and sustainability in agroecological practices within family farming. Raquel also contributes to discussions on the legal and informal aspects of cheese marketing in southern Brazil and investigates factors influencing flexitarian choices in reducing meat consumption.
