🎓 Education:

  • Ph.D. in Botany (In progress) – UEFS, Brazil
  • M.Sc. in Botany – UEFS, Brazil
  • B.Sc. in Biological Sciences – UEFS, Brazil

📚 Academic Achievements:

  • Specialization in Teaching Methodology of Biological Sciences – UNIASSELVI, Brazil
  • Bachelor’s in Biological Sciences – UEFS, Brazil
  • Extensive coursework and training in diverse areas including evolutionary biology, neurosciences, and communication and scientific writing.

👩‍🔬 Research Focus:

Bruna specializes in ethnobotany, particularly the traditional ecological knowledge and uses of plants. Her ongoing Ph.D. research, under the guidance of Ligia Silveira Funch and co-supervised by Robert A. Voeks, explores urban ethnobotany, specifically examining the intersections and disparities between medicinal and liturgical knowledge in the Feira de São Joaquim region in northeastern Brazil.
