As the 1st Deputy Mayor of Idenau Council in Fako Division (2002-2007), Henry Ikome Becke played a pivotal role in steering the development of the municipality, overseeing the well-being of its 40,000 inhabitants. Additionally, he served as Chairman of the Government Secondary School Idenau-Fako School Management Board (2001-2003), contributing to educational governance. Beyond his civic duties, Becke demonstrated leadership in spiritual matters as Chairman of the Board of Deacons at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Bota-Limbe (2006-2014).
