Research Focus 🌱🔍

Champika Perera’s research primarily focuses on innovative approaches in aquaculture nutrition, specifically investigating sustainable alternatives to traditional fishmeal. His work explores the impact of replacing fishmeal with house cricket (Acheta domesticus) and field cricket (Gryllus bimaculatus) meals on the growth, pigmentation, and breeding performance of Guppy (Poecilia reticulata). Additionally, he delves into the effects of varying inclusion levels of egg yolk powder on Guppy, assessing growth, stress tolerance, and pigmentation. Through these studies, Champika aims to contribute to environmentally friendly and economically viable practices in aquaculture. 🐟🌱🔬
