Champika Perera is a seasoned Scientist with 26 years of diverse experience in aqua nutrition, freshwater, brackishwater, and coldwater aquaculture. Holding a Ph.D. from the Asian Institute of Technology, his dissertation focused on developing practical and sustainable feeds for Guppy fry, emphasizing the replacement of fishmeal with insect meal. Champika’s expertise extends to fish feed formulation, freshwater and brackishwater aquaculture activities, induced breeding, water quality management, and farm management, including HRM. His notable publications include research on fishmeal replacement with cricket meals and the impact of egg yolk powder on Guppy growth.
