Dr. Mohamed Fathi Ahmed, born on July 6, 1978, in Kafer Saker, Sharkia, Egypt, is an accomplished professional in the field of aquaculture and fish diseases. Currently serving as the Head of the Fish Diseases Department since November 2022 and an Associate Professor since February 2022, he has made significant contributions to the industry. Dr. Ahmed’s journey began with a B.V.Sc from Zagazig University in 2001, followed by an M.V.Sc (Microbiology) in 2007 and a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine in March 2013. His post-doctoral fellowship at the WorldFish Center from June 2014 to July 2016 further enriched his expertise in Aquaculture and Genetic Improvement.
