Dr. Christian Thierfelder, a Principal Cropping Systems Agronomist with CIMMYTโ€™s Sustainable Intensification program, has been leading conservation agriculture systems research in Southern Africa since 2009. His focus is on adapting these systems to meet the needs of smallholder farmers, particularly in Malawi, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
